March - The Aquamarine

WOW - did that sound really commercial? Good. As I am very happy with this design. It's the last in the Birthstone Thong collection to be designed for 2009/2010. Well ok - July - The Ruby is in remake mode. Bow he mass production begins. That's right mass production. There all gorgeous and it has been a pleasure to witness my very own growth in this process.

Back to Class

Today it was filing sales and use tax day and back to class for me. I took a two hour workshop offered on SCOREMENTORS on business plans. Seems that a business plan could take weeks or months to develop and then have to be updated quarterly. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? But I do agree that a sound business plan should be developed since 90% of all business fail within the first two years - I know that's true living here in the SCV. This developing town has seen its share of businesses come and go. So I won't go I need to go sew.

Created, Sewed, Threw in the Trash!

But that's a good thing. Creativity often comes with a full trash can. It's the learning that you take from the scraps hopefully. The only thing that may bother me a tad is the reality I am in the final lap of this race - all has not been easy but the "Birthstone Thong" collection is almost all complete for 2009/2010. And to think I get to do this all over again next year designing the 2010/2011 collection. Let's not forget l'Amore's other collections that will preview in November '09. Busy - Busy - Busy ME.

Purple Majesty

It's sometimes when a classy understatement speaks loud and clear. That time is now.

Let me post this disclaimer - I don't like purple. Reminds me of grape and not those delicious ones in the clusters that involves a fan and some sort of veil. Purple like in candy. Purple grape candy was never one of my favorites. My mother put me in every shade of purple know to man when I was a little girl, and she still tries to tell me how nice I look in this color. So to say February - The Amethyst took some doing, 'm not kidding.

But like all good things - and this one is way more than good... all good things come to those who anticipate. The wait is over. Introducing February - The Amethyst, the latest "Birthstone Thong" to be added to the collection. Enjoy - I know I will.
