Today for me has been a very encouraging day. On top of getting a very nice comment about the birthstone thongs I have posted, I also received a written endorsement. I am ever more excited about L'amore Intimo™, the new side of sensual apparel. Although this is not the first endorsement received for my designs - most which have been word of mouth - I appreciate so very deeply the time taken to sit down and hand write these words ...

Although indirectly I know this soror, I have never felt so honored. You are very welcome.

The note card with these words will be framed and also placed always on the L'amore Intimo website. My prayer is to design many more beautiful pieces that will indeed receive equal and greater accolades, because everything I do is from a place deep inside my heart. Thank you.

Life After the Design Challenge

After I cleaned up the Citrine I spent 4 hours tonight cutting out the prom dress for my niece.  That will be my project this weekend and then once it's in the mail I will get the next Birthstone Thong made for one of the soror who won it at the charity auction.  I get to make another peridot thong.  Yay!  Then I will move on the making the design for May - the Emerald.  Why May you say?  I have Emerald fabric and beads on hand, I pretty sure on the new design too.

Keeping very busy, but there's no time to waste - the pre-launch is still July 4th and I plan to showcase all 12 birthstone thongs.  That website thing is a whole different challenge in itself.

Don't Be Weary in Well Designing...

You keep designing.  Had a great and simple idea on how to make better the almost to be infamous Citrine Birthstone Thong.  Will post later today once all tucked away in the mail.  I think it's a winner - I even drew the pattern for more to come!

The Wee Hours = the Sleepy Hours

I'm living the dream - taken from gregorysms off the Troop 180 Productions blogspot.  It's 1:20 AM on Thursday and I have finally finished and torn apart the Citrine Birthstone Thong.  Didn't want my name on it.  I didn't get rid of the whole thing - only the crotch.  Funny I know - since L'amore Intimo, the new side of sensual apparel, will mainly produce the most intimate of panties which are open crotch.  

This citrine design was just not working.  The weight in that area was too much, especially for a thong, so I took it apart easily enough.  Rescued all of the 500 plus beads too.  Don't worry there will still be beads - what's L'amore without beads.  The area I undid will be simple and elegant - soft and timeless - precious and memorable.  More importantly it will take me about an hour to add and then I can call it complete, place it in a sparkling pantie bag, ship it on it's way, and call it a day.

I'll do that after the sun comes up though.

Is There Shame in Failing?

First define failing.  What does that look like to you?  I believe the shame is only in not trying.  Okay, now that I have convinced myself of this I'll talk about today.  Today was a great day of designing the back strap of the infamous Citrine Birthstone Thong.  People, it wasn't happening!  

What I learned...

When you don't have the right materials you won't get the product you are seeking.  I need better citrine beads.  So tomorrow, bright and early, after I stop by the SAG office to pay dues, and then to my elite 90210 office to pick up the items in my inbox, I will be off to bead world.  Bead world in the 661 is either Michaels or this beautiful bead store Beads and More Needs off of Lyons Ave.  I will find the proper beads for my needs and this mock up will be in the mail by Thursday, with a disclaimer that this is definitely a one of a kind and she is the lucky one!
