Promoting L'amore

Did you know you can create your own product book to promote your business or whatever you wish to promote, using iPhoto?  There are certain things that Mac has that surpass a PC and this is definitely one of them.  You can upload your photos and with a click of the mouse you can create a beautiful picture book - being it a wedding photo album, baby book, or business portfolio.  

I took a close look at this feature today and also muddle through making a sample calendar with the pictures I have in my iPhoto.  The templates available are quote professional and if I have the faces of L'amore photographed by my fav photographer (Robert Kazandjian, www.kazphoto.com) then I can create a wonderful promotion calendar for the pre-launch.  Cool.

Green

Hollywood uses "green " as a derogative term.   But in fact green is good.  There's green peace.  There's go green,  There's green as the color of money.  And there's my favorite green - the peridot.  This green is featured in the Bolly"would" you thong -- the first prototype of the birthstone thong collection.  Why peridot green?  For me, I was born the month of August.

I hope the luck of the Irish was with you today.

Making Plans

As the months count down toward the pre-launch, I put together the list of things to do.  I was told that I should write a book about the steps that I take to get this business booming.  

Chapter one  -- "a need"

Chapter two -- "a concept"

Chapter three -- "s skill"

Chapter four -- "a market"

Chapter five -- "a map"

Chapter six -- "a time frame"

Chapter seven -- "a pre-launch"

etc...

Maybe I should write that book, if only to keep my focus on what I've done,  what I'm doing and what I have to get done.

Intimate Thoughts of Women of the Bible

A while back when I found that my writing was more than a habit or a hobby, I thought deeply about writing a musical for the stage titled - Intimate Thoughts of Women of the Bible.  The play center around the infamous Jezebel, only because I believe she gets an unfair bad rap.  Here was a woman who was married to a king, and died a terrible death for her support of this man.  Maybe wicked or just unliked - IDK, as this is subjective I believe, but to me she was a woman who supported a spineless king and her name has always been synonymous with sensual pleasures, leading to the sinful.  The Bible doesn't talk about Jezebel as a harlot, but a woman who used her beauty to get her husband the king to do exactly what she wanted.  Hmmm - could it be true back then as today, that women use sex for love and men use love for sex?  Whatever it may, she was one woman who desired the love of one man. - as I see it.

Any way, the thought of the musical is still tied in the archives of my mind and my laptop.  I believe the intimate thoughts of women of the Bible would be quite intriguing to explore.  For those of you who don't know the romance stories in the Bible, You should read it - I would suggested starting with the Song of Solomon.

Bead Day

Taking a break from all the boxes and moving - today I will sit quietly and work on beading designs for a nice grey lace boy short for the L'AMORE boy-o-boy collection.  View the "boys in pink" and you'll see what I'm constructing.  There are many possibilities and many considerations and much inspiration - all in the life of an intimate apparel designer.

The Bloomers are Coming

Slowly getting back to where I left off with great anticipation fort he pre-launch.  A trip to IKEA proved to be quite helpful for the "bloomer" line and maybe boxers by "L'AMORE" too.  I found a great white flat sheet for only 1.99 - for however many yards are in a flat sheet.  Whatever the yardage it's a great deal for developing samples.

Calendar Men of L'AMORE

It's been rumored - by me - that the pre-launch celebration of L'AMORE INTIMO, set for July 4, 2009, will feature 12 men.  A man for every month of the year to showcase the birthstone line, as they model the L'AMORE INTIMO menswear boxer.
